Welcome to this September 2004 release of twenty essential business laws!
The laws, in Mongolian and English, have been updated to include all known amendments as of the date of release. We have built upon prior work done by others in the translation of some of these laws into English and updated these versions with the most recent amendments; many of these laws are now available in English for the first time. We are grateful to many people, businesses, and organizations for their interest and support of this release which could not have been possible without their assistance.
The files containing the text of the laws are accessible in Adobe Acrobat format for easy access (reading and printing). If your computer does not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can install it following the instructions and using the files included in this CD. Both the Mongolian and English text of the laws will also be made available through the National Legal Center (NLC) Web site.
The selection of laws included in this release has been made based on their relevance and utility to businesses and potential investors. Updated Mongolian and English texts of additional laws relevant to business will be released as they are completed and posted in the NLC Web site for public use.
While every effort has been made to update the Mongolian texts of the laws to include all amendments and translate these texts into English as accurately as possible, NLC, its personnel, and partnering organizations bear no responsibility, explicit or implied, for the accuracy of these texts. Users are advised to seek appropriate legal counsel, as necessary, to verify the accuracy of the texts of the laws prior to making any decisions or entering into any transactions affected by the application of these laws. This is particularly the case for the translations of the laws from their original Mongolian text into English. In cases of discrepancy between the Mongolian and English text of the law, the Mongolian text shall prevail.
